Kristina got her BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Münster, Germany, where she did experiments on mineral-fluid interaction and replacement processes in zeolites and carbonates. Her contribution to ABYSS will be focused on the influence of tectonics on serpentinization. At the moment, she is analyzing the deformation and serpentinization of partially altered peridotites from the Leka Ophiolite (north-central Norway). Numerical modelling of the coupling between external and internal deformation with serpentinisation will be the second part of her project.
