Adriana graduated in geology from the University of Barcelona in 2012, after which she completed an MSc at Utrecht University. Her past research has focussed on metamorphic petrology and microstructural analysis. As part of the ABYSS initial training network, she is now investigating the role of rock-brine interaction in the Cl- enrichment of amphiboles from gabbros found in the oceanic crust. This will be done using experimental (IHPV, piston cylinder) and analytical methods (EMPA, LA-ICP-MS), as well as isotopic analysis of natural samples.
