The next ABYSS meeting will take place in Granada, Spain, on 6-7 April 2017. It will be preceded by a field trip to Ronda on the 5th of April and followed by another field trip to the Almirez Massif on the 8th of April.
The 3rd ABYSS Workshop took place in Oslo from 1st to 2nd September 2016. It was the first workshop open to external participants. The meeting was followed by a field trip to Roros, Feragen. Short Course n°5 « Microstructures and Modelling reaction driven fracturing » was held from 7 to 9 September 2016 in Oslo.
The ABYSS Mid-term Review Meeting took place at IPGP, Paris (France) on October 12, 2015. It was followed by the ABYSS Workshop n°2 on October 13, 2015. For more information, see Network events. The next ABYSS meeting will be held in Sestri Levante in April 2016.
The ABYSS Short-course 3 took place at IPGP, Paris (France) from 5 to 9 October 2015 and ended with the ABYSS outreach event organized on the occasion of the French « Fête de la Science ». The next ABYSS Short-course will be held in Milan from 4 to 6 April 2016 (see Training).
Aurélien Beaumais (ER3) is the last fellow to join the ABYSS network. All in all, 12 PhD students (early-stage researchers) and 3 Post-doc fellows (experienced researchers) were hired. For more information about the ABYSS trainees, see Network
